  • Brigade Internationale

    Location: Vernon, France

    Active: 1982 – 1984 (?)

French coldwave band consisting of Bruno Vaugelade, Cécile Balladino and Olivier Foubert. Their bleak soundscapes layered with sparse anarcho inspired guitar stand out as some of the starkest monuments in the graveyard. They released the ‘Regard Extrême’ cassette with a 12 page booklet in 1984, reissued in 2009 on LP by ειρκτή records.

Synth player Cécile Balladino would go on to play in Mary Goes Round. Both bands were

Featured on the compilation tape ‘Unreleased Volume 1’ by Présage (1987) along with Clair Obscur, Asylum Party, Norma Loy, Complot Bronswick and The Cultural Decay – a fantastic selection.
