French coldwave band consisting of Bruno Vaugelade, Cécile Balladino and Olivier Foubert. Their bleak soundscapes layered with sparse anarcho inspired guitar stand out as some of the starkest monuments in the graveyard. They released the ‘Regard Extrême’ cassette with a 12 page booklet in 1984, reissued in 2009 on LP by ειρκτή records.

Featured on the compilation tape ‘Unreleased Volume 1’ by Présage (1987) along with Clair Obscur, Asylum Party, Norma Loy, Complot Bronswick and The Cultural Decay – a fantastic selection.
A rough combination of noisy punk and postpunk with a dark edge. Jim Andreas on vocals, guitars by Andy Lewis, Lloyd Whittaker on bass and on drums Phil Riggins. Mike Doskocil aka Malcom Bliss also claims to be involved. (Theatre Of Ice, Bullets For Pussy). They released ‘Carnival’ in 1989, and ‘Ugly’ in 1990.
Bootbeast performed with Rozz Williams’ Christian Death reunion in 1990 at the Mason Jar in Phoenix. On the ‘More Coffee For The Politicians’ compilation of Phoenix bands (as Bootbeast Carnival) with The Mighty Sphincter and JFA.
