Beginning with thrash punk, Die Kreuzen quickly learned that their limits were not set; their following releases played with postpunk and experimental independent music. Their ‘October File’ album stands as one of the most unique offerings of 1986 on Touch And Go records, on par with Scratch Acid and Big Black. They would continue into the 90s as an often unspoken forerunner of the rising grunge movement, with Jane’s Addiction and Soundgarden taking clear instruction.
