Hungry Eye news November 2007
1. Some new material added to the webstore (Deadbeats, HEX
compilation, Dansetten, Funeral Crashers, Red Voice Choir), some restocks (Black Ice- Terrible Birds, Opposite Sex- Violent Heartstrings, Frustration- Full of Sorrow). And we're running low on some other stuff that we probably won't be able to re-stock. (As Mercenarias, Agent Side Grinder, the Hunt). Check it out at http://
www.hungryeyerecords.com/store.html
2. Our digital distribution has increased as well. You can now buy mp3s of Hungry Eye material on iTunes, eMusic, Amazon, Rhapsody, Virgin Mega-France, MusicNet, and the list is growing. A couple of releases that hadn't been posted yet should be available shortly as well.
3. The kind folks at Strobelight in Austria made a special section of their webstore for Hungry Eye and related material. If you are in Germany/ Austria/ Switzerland or close by, this might be a good place to pick the stuff up. Check out their website at http://
www.strobelight-records.com/ and then go to their webstore.
4. Sixteens just returned from Drop Dead in Prague. Haven't heard from them yet, but word is they were awesome. Saros is on hiatus from shows to dedicate their time to recording. Black Ice is taking a break still until 2008, but Kevin and Kelly are making up for this with Red Voice Choir. The Bellmer Dolls are hard at work on their new album. The Holy Kiss are apparently recording as well, but they keep banging out the shows. AntiQuark seems to have some more Italian dates a-coming.

MARCH VIOLETS HOMECOMING SHOW
Leeds Metropolitan University 8th December 2007
Formed in Leeds back in the Eighties, the March Violets were one of the darker bands that gave birth to what became the Gothic Scene.
Three of the original members have come together to perform a ONE-OFF ONE NIGHT ONLY event in the city that started it. A chance for those who never experienced the legendary chaos of their shows back in the day to do the real Snake Dance and for those who were there to relive the thrill. With brand new material available only to ticket holders, plus an aftershow party till 3am featuring Guest DJs from the Wendy House plus others this is a unique gathering. The line-up includes Simon Denbigh, Rosie Garland and Tom Ashton.

Black Ice- Myopia CD now available in Germany
After an amazingly received successful European tour that took them through Germany, France, Austria, Italy, and the UK, Black Ice's second album "Myopia" is now available in most stores in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, (in addition to making it up on iTunes last week) thanks to our friends at Strobelight Recordsand Alive Distribution.
In the meantime, Hungry Eye Records is running dangerously low on our copies of Myopia, so if you're in those countries, do try to pick one up from your favorite record vendors (and if they do not stock it, ask them for it because they can get them!)
In other Black Ice news, following the tour, Black Ice is on a small hiatus for a number of reasons, and are not playing shows for the remainder of 2007. 2008 will see them back in action! In the meantime, Skot B has been doing more work with his project Decanter, and Kevin and Miss Kel are playing more with their other band Red Voice Choir (with ex and current members of the Holy Kiss and Death of a Party), who will have a new EP out shortly on Atakra Records.

RIP Yvonne De Carlo (Lily Munster)
LOS ANGELES, California (AP)
Yvonne De Carlo, the beautiful star who played Moses' wife in "The Ten Commandments" but achieved her greatest popularity on TV's "The Munsters," has died. She was 84. De Carlo died of natural causes Monday at the Motion Picture & Television facility in suburban Los Angeles, longtime friend and television producer Kevin Burns said Wednesday. De Carlo, whose shapely figure helped launch her career in B-movie desert adventures and Westerns, rose to more important roles in the 1950s. Later, she had a key role in a landmark Broadway musical, Stephen Sondheim's "Follies." But for TV viewers, she will always be known as Lily Munster in the 1964-1966 slapstick horror-movie spoof "The Munsters." The series (the name allegedly derived from "fun-monsters") offered a gallery of Universal Pictures grotesques, including Dracula and Frankenstein's monster, in a cobwebbed gothic setting. "But it would be a shame if that's the only way she is remembered. She was also one of the biggest beauty queens of the '40s and '50s, one of the most beautiful women in the world. This was one of the great glamour queens of Hollywood, one of the last ones." De Carlo was able to sustain a long career by repeatedly reinventing herself. A longtime student of voice, she sang opera at the Hollywood Bowl. When movie roles became scarce, she ventured into stage musicals. Over the years, De Carlo augmented her stardom by shrewd use of publicity. Gossip columnists reported her dates with famous men. In her 1987 book, "Yvonne: An Autobiography," she listed 22 of her lovers, who included Howard Hughes, Burt Lancaster, Robert Stack, Robert Taylor, Billy Wilder, Aly Khan and an Iranian prince. Universal Pictures exploited her slightly exotic looks and a shape that looked ideal in a harem dress in such "sex-and-sand" programmers as "Song of Scheherazade," "Slave Girl," "Casbah" and "Desert Hawk." The studio also employed her to add zest to Westerns, usually as a dance-hall girl or a gun-toting sharpshooter. Among the titles: "Frontier Gal," "Black Bart" (as Lola Montez), "River Lady," "Calamity Jane and Sam Bass" (as Calamity Jane) and "The Gal Who Took the West." Among her later films: "McClintock" (starring John Wayne), "A Global Affair" (Bob Hope), "Hostile Guns" (George Montgomery), "The Power" (George Hamilton), "American Gothic" (Rod Steiger) and "Oscar" (Sylvester Stallone). Paramount Pictures signed her to a contract in 1942, and she adopted her middle name and her mother's middle name. Dropped by Paramount after 20 minor roles, she landed at Universal, which cast her as the B-picture version of the studio's sultry star Maria Montez.

Frank The Baptist: New Album and mini-Tour
News from Frank The Baptist, after having regrouped in his new home of Berlin, Germany. They've been in rehearsal, and after a gig in Leipzig last month they are now ready to go into the studio and record the 3rd album! Here's the official statement from The Frank himself:
"Frank the Baptist is going into the studio this weekend to record the third
album "The New Colossus". We are looking forward to this, we love the songs.
We will miss the U.S. members on this trip, they are with us in spirit on
this one. We will be playing a mini tour (we'll have all the dates soon)
this December as an appetizer and will play plenty of the new songs as well
as the ones you've heard.
