DR: So then how long have you been without a third member? Aaron: Almost a year now. DR: So most of your last tour was just the two of you? Aaron: Our whole last tour was just the two of us. Kristin: That's why it was probably weird for a lot of people because we wrote all new music for it, and maybe played like one song from the other records. DR: So all of the music you have been playing on the previous tour has been all the stuff that's going to be on the new album? Kristin: Yeah. It's so trippy, because there's this format that most people go by when they're touring: "OK, you go tour when this album comes out and promote this thing." But, we're just so fucking weird - of course we go NOT having that. And people are like: "Which album has that song on it?" and you have to say that none of them do!
DR: So do you have some songs that had some of Nick's contributions that you had to scrap because of that? Kristin: We kind of did that a couple of times, but that was too much, it hurt - Yeah its kind of sad. Like, would we want to actually play to a recording of him? Which is weird because he's not in control of that. DR: What point are you now with the next album? Kristin: Probably 9/10ths, but that last tenth is really fucking important so that its finished completely. And we are going to add another song so it will be like 8-9 songs, some kind of long ones.

Aaron: And then some of the time it was like, "Oh Yeah - its on this one!" because you know they are going to buy an album and you need the money really bad! And we did play a couple of old songs, but it was impossible for us to get the new music together, and be able to work on old songs without Nick, we would have had to rework everything so that we could take out his parts.
